HELP works with students seeking to maximize their college experience, needing professional advice or graduate school guidance, and adults who want information to go back to college.
Transfer Admission Seeking Students
Focus: Awareness of the requirements, major matching and preparation for for successful transition.
1st and 2nd year college students
Focus: Successful social transition and setting a solid foundation of academic success and service participation, followed by sustained academic excellence, leadership development and deeper exploratory research into potential bridges from college majors to actual career interests.
3rd year college students and beyond
Focus: Academics, service, leadership and extracurricular activities based on narrowed potential career interest research and selection, followed by research, job shadowing and graduate school prep to maximize potential bridge opportunities after undergrad.
Graduate/Professional School Services
Focus: Assistance with preparation and application assistance for graduate school.

- Creation of a degree plan including major, minor, AP credits and college transfer credits
- Creation of resume to track and log all activities and awards including suggestions to fill ‘gaps’
- Research development of a potential major/career list
- Recommendations for campus activities (student clubs, organization, community service, etc) to join
- Recommendations for academic support services such as writing centers, resource centers or private tutors
- Assistance coordinating courses that can be taken over summer or winter break at local community colleges and transfer back to home college campus
- Searches for scholarships including assistance with scholarship essays and applications
- Assistance searching for internships or employment
