A letter from HELP scholar Caitlin , (This is why I do what I do!)

Ed,

I wanted to get in touch with you to thank you for everything you’ve done for me. Your guidance and expertise has truly molded me into the versatile aspiring architect that I am; without your HELP I would not have the strong foundation of design skills that I have developed and moreover the tools and advise to take over the architectural world. From the first days of your class, your guidance for graduate school applications led me to dean contacts, phone interviews, and ultimately my acceptance into three prestigious graduate programs (Texas A&M, Colorado, and UT in Austin). After much thought, research and self reflection I have made the decision to attend the University of Colorado at Denver to pursue my master’s degree in architecture.

I am now well equipped to take on such a feat, thanks to your mentoring, and couldn’t be more excited to set a new standard of excellence at the university this coming fall. I truly appreciate everything you’ve done and will definitely be in touch over the years. I am living proof and validation of your teaching methods, guidance, and friendship, and the great things that can come from it.

Thanks again Mr. Tarlton!
